  • WEEK 4-Power and Influence

    Students will study influence and power theories and techniques.   

    • Learning Outcomes

      • 4.1 Recognize the various types of power.
      • 4.2 Identify tactics used for becoming an empowering leader.
      • 4.3 Distinguish between ethical and unethical political behaviors.
      • 4.4 Assess the relationship between power and influence.
      • 4.5 Describe how implicit leadership theories are related to a leader’s ability to influence group members.
      • 4.6 Identify several leadership practices that contribute to organizational innovation.
      • 4.7 Apply the six basic principles of persuasion.
      • 4.8 Examine the basic approaches to resolving conflict and negotiating.
